Frequently asked questions
What is Tasty Stocks?
A stock and options newsletter on Substack, plus TastyInvestor: flat-fee, one-on-one reviews of your brokerage account, IRA or 401(k).
What's the difference between the newsletter and a review?
The newsletter is general research, the same for every reader. A review looks at your own holdings, age, goals and risk tolerance, and gives you a written plan for your account.
How much does a review cost?
401(k): $150 for one call or $400/year with quarterly calls. Brokerage or IRA: $300 for one call or $900/year with quarterly calls. Flat fee. No percentage of your assets.
What do I get?
A one-on-one video call and a written rebalance plan in your dashboard: target weight for each holding or fund, what to trim and add, and the levels to watch. Annual plans include four calls a year and email support between calls.
Do you hold my money or trade for me?
No. Your accounts stay where they are, we never ask for your login, and you place every trade yourself.
Who gives the advice?
Reviews are delivered through a registered investment adviser under a written client agreement. The adviser's name, CRD number and Form ADV brochure are shown before you pay. Until registration is complete we only take profiles and waitlist sign-ups.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Full refund if you cancel before your first call. Annual plans: unused calls are refunded pro rata. You can also reschedule free up to 24 hours before a call.
Is my data safe?
Your profile is encrypted in transit, stored in our own database, used only to prepare your review, and never sold. Email us to delete it at any time.
How is the newsletter's track record calculated?
Straight from the public closed-trade log: every closed alert, wins and losses. Each figure is per position before fees, not a portfolio return.
How do I cancel my newsletter subscription?
Newsletter billing is handled by Substack. Cancel from your Substack account settings. Review plans are cancelled from the Billing section of your dashboard.
